How does Azor, the Lawbringer work?

Asked by patrickloyd 5 years ago

I am probably reading into his ability too much, but does his ability mean that I can not cast instants and sorcery's during my opponents next turn or that My opponent can't cast instants and sorcery's during my next turn?

Neither, each opponent can't cast instants or sorceries during their next turn.

  • Assuming a 4 player game and player A cast Azor, the Lawbringer and both it and the trigger resolve.

  • During player B's next turn player B can't cast instants or sorceries. Player A, C, and D, can cast instants and any sorceries that they have a way to cast (via Quicken, Vedalken Orrery etc).

  • During player C's next turn player C can't cast instants or sorceries. Player A, B, and D, can cast instants and any sorceries that they have a way to cast.

  • During player D's next turn player D can't cast instants or sorceries. Player A, B, and C, can cast instants and any sorceries that they have a way to cast.

  • During player A's next turn everything goes back to normal.
