Hero of Iroas ability usage

If i have Hero of Iroas on the field and Ethereal Armor in my had, can i play it with no mana cost? Or can it only deduct one colorless mana? just getting the ruling down before i play with it.

Cost reductions always only reduce what they say they do.
Hero of Iroas reduces costs by
which cannot reduce any coloured mana costs of anything. Ethereal Armor will still cost
