graveyard tokens

i was wondering if, when a token dies, might it effect certain cards?
my specific example is, when i play Wreath of Geists, would the "+X/+X" increase when a token dies, or would only non-token creatures affect it?
Bonehoard has a similar effect, and gets this nifty ruling:
6/1/2011 Although creature tokens go to the graveyard before ceasing to exist, they never count as creature cards and won’t increase the bonus granted by Bonehoard, however briefly.

When a token dies it is placed in the graveyard and then removed from the game instantly so you would not get any boost from cards like Wreath of Geists. But you would get an enter the graveyard trigger because the token is put into the graveyard for a momment. Hope this helps, happy tapping:)
