giving a land undying.

Asked by iamMark 6 years ago

If i turn my Inkmoth Nexus in to a creature and then a opponent kills it with with something and i respond with Undying Evil to give it undying till end of turn, would the Inkmoth Nexus come back as a land with a +1/+1 counter on it?

You can add double square brackets around a card's name to link it. It's the easiest way to make sure everyone understands what's going on in your question: Inkmoth Nexus, Undying Evil

Yes, that will work. In the full detailed rules for the Undying ability, there's no requirement that the card is still a creature when it's in the graveyard in order for it to be returned. Also, there's nothing in the rules that will stop a non-creature permanent from having +1/+1 counters added to it (the counters just won't do anything while the permanent isn't a creature).

make sure you link all cards in your question with brackets [] around the card name. but yes, the Inkmoth Nexus would come back as a land with a +1/+1 counter.
