gideon and rally mechanic

when I plus 1 Gideon, Ally of Zendikar and he becomes a 5/5 ally . Will it active my rally mechanics, say im using a Lantern Scout . Will the Gideon ally now have life link now.

No, as he is already on the battlefield and not entering the battlefield. Gotta zero Gids to trigger rally.

Note also that activated abilities are manually activated while triggered abilities trigger automatically. Triggered abilities don't get activated.
