Genesis Hydra + Detention Sphere

when i pay x=7 and get Detention Sphere can i put it in battlefield on top of my opponents creature?

I see another Genesis Hydra and do it also get counters?

If you reveal Detention Sphere you can put it onto the battlefield which will trigger its enter the battlefield ability.

If you reveal Genesis Hydra you can cast it but x will be 0 and you will not get any counters.

Yes, if you find and put Detention Sphere on the battlefield, it will exile a creature.

No. The second Genesis Hydra will enter as a 0/0 and be put into the graveyard as a state-based action.
