Fiend Hunter + Sun Titan/Karmic Guide/Reveillark + Sac Outlet Combo or Nonbo?

Asked by Enral 6 years ago

I can't seem to figure out how Fiend Hunter and a free sac outlet with either one Sun Titan, Karmic Guide, or Reveillark forms an infinite loop or do they not? Would appreciate if someone can walk me through.

So say you have out Sun Titan and Altar of Dementia, you play Fiend Hunter, targeting your Sun Titan with its first triggered ability.

You then allow that ability to resolve, thus exiling Sun Titan. Next you sacrifice Fiend Hunter to Altar of Dementia triggering Fiend Hunters second triggered ability, you then let that resolve, and suddenly Sun Titan is back!.

Sun Titan entering the battlefield triggers its own ability and you target Fiend Hunter in the graveyard, bringing it back, you then use Fiend Hunters triggered ability targeting Sun Titan.

Rinse, Lather, Repeat.

Infinite iterations of this is enough to kill any player in the game, and for a stronger version that is a little harder to interupt I recommned replacing Fiend Hunter with Saffi Eriksdotter if your deck colors support it.

DJSeras: That makes sense. Thanks for the reply. Does this same logic works with Karmic Guide or Reveillark too?

Sun Titan doesn't work with those two creatures since they aren't CMC 3 or less.

But!

Fiend Hunter + Karmic Guide or Fiend Hunter + Reveillark does work for that combo with a sac outlet as well

Fun note: Altar of Dementia with any of those combos is an instant kill to any player in the game as long as that player doesn't have Laboratory Maniac or Platinum Angel on the battlefield.

Just saying, the only legal sac engine I could find for this combo is Blasting Station. Good card though
