Eldrazi Monument and Coretapper

Can i pay the sacrifice cost of Eldrazi Monument with Coretapper second ability?
I would say no, but i'm not an expert.

easy way to remember if you ever have a similar sacrifice question:
you can't get more than 1 gumball with 1 quarter.
if there are 2 gumball machines next to each other (or any 2 coin-op candy dispensers), you can't magically use the same quarter (if you live outside the US, substitute "quarter" for an appropriate coin) for both.
whatever it is you're saccing = the quarter
the activated ability that requires the sacrifice = the gumball machine
the effects you want = gumball

You can sacrifice Coretapper, but either to it's own ability or the Monument's - you can't combine both to keep the Monument and get two charge counters, though.
While you can respond to Monument's ability by sacrificing Coretapper (for example because it's your only creature, and since you'll have to sacrifice it one way or the other), you can't wait for the Monument's ability to resolve, then activate Coretappers ability during resolution (that's something that isn't possible in general).
