Doom blade vs craterhoof behemoth

If craterhoof is summoned and immediately hit with Doom blade does it's effect still go off?

When Craterhoof Behemoth enters the battlefield, its ability immediately triggers and goes on the stack. At this point, players may respond to said ability. You may cast Doom Blade on it and destroy it, however, abilities on the stack exist independently of there sources. This means that the ability will still resolve even if its source has changed zones.

It is important to note that the ability will be slightly weaker when it resolves though, as you will control one fewer creatures.

Yes, the ability is already triggered by the time you can target it with removal
