does sacrifice target?

So I discovered Horobi, Death's Wail.And I wonder if when I sacrifce a creature to let's say Ashnod's Altar or Undercity Informer.Do I target that creature and is it destroyed before I can sac it.Or is not targeted and I can still sac it?
I want it to know because I would like to play it in my EDH deck :)
A spell or ability only target if the word target is on the card

Sacrificing does not target. It's also good to know that Auras and equipping Equipment do target, just in case it comes up.

A spell or ability only targets if it uses the word "target." And costs never target.
