does Monastery Mentor produce humans?

i'm trying to fit him in my humans deck having Thalia's Lieutenant in play
You can double-check the Gatherer for Oracle text to see if something has changed since the last printing of the card itself, but in the case of Monastery Mentor , it hasn't.
The card only specifies Monk tokens. It would say "Human" if it made a Human token, such as with Hero of Precinct One .

the card clearly states "monk". not human.
