Does Training Grounds reduce the mana it cost of Rings of Brighthearth ability if I have March of the Machines?

Training Grounds reduces the cost of activated abilities of creature so I was wondering if turning Rings of Brighthearth into a creature, with March of the Machines, would reduce the cost of it's ability.

No, because Rings of Brighthearth's ability isn't activated.

Activated abilities are worded "cost : effect".

This is a triggered abilty. These are worded "when/whenever/at ..."

But if you have an artifact that actually has an activated ability (eg Acorn Catapult) and turn it into a creature, Training Grounds will reduce the cost of that ability.

Well, not Acorn Catapult, because it already only costs one mana.
