Does a legendary card creatures unique rule apply to the card name or type

Dragonlord Dromoka is an elder dragon, so can no other elder dragons be on the field? Or just no other cards with the same exact card name as this?

The Legend Rule applies only to cards that share the same name, which is why Sakashima the Impostor can copy legends without issue. The Planeswalker Uniqueness Rule applies to types, like Jace, Liliana and so on.

704.5k If a player controls two or more legendary permanents with the same name, that player chooses one of them, and the rest are put into their owners graveyards

The card name is all that matters when you check for the legend rule unless the names are identical you can have legends and clone effects in any combination
