Do you have to Tap a Creature Pressure Point

Asked by macster 8 years ago

I'm trying to build a post rotation prowess deck and I was unsure about this. If I cast Pressure Point and I have a creature but my opponent does not do I have to target my creature to draw the card?

Yes. You can't just ignore part of an effect unless something is legitimately preventing you from doing so. You need a target creature in order to cast Pressure Point. The creature can be a tapped creature, your creature, an opponent's creature, etc. but you aren't allowed to ignore the tap instruction and just draw the card; the tap is not optional.

Yes. You need to target a creature for each use of the word target on a card. You're allowed to target an already tapped creature, but you have to target something.
