Do tokens hit the graveyard?

Asked by captain_deano 3 years ago

So I have Kresh the Bloodbraided in my Najeela, the Blade-Blossom edh deck, so there’s a lot of little tokens being generated. So my question is do tokens hit the graveyard before going to exile? If so, what’s the official ruling? Thanks to any and all answers!!

Tokens hit the graveyard and then cease to exist. They don't go to exile from the graveyard. The relevant rule is CR 111.7.

111.7. A token that’s in a zone other than the battlefield ceases to exist. This is a state-based action; see rule 704. (Note that if a token changes zones, applicable triggered abilities will trigger before the token ceases to exist.)
