Do regenerated creatures still deal damage to players?

player 1: Inkmoth Nexus attacksplayer 2: Lightning Bolt player 1: Welding Jar targeting Inkmoth Nexus

Does the damage go through to the player?

No. One of the effects of regeneration is that the regenerated creature is removed from combat. If your opponent cast Lightning Bolt at any time before the combat damage step, then Inkmoth Nexus will be removed from combat before it can deal damage.
