Do pump spells affect power and toughness?

For Electrostatic Pummeler, I was wondering if the first time you boost it, it becomes a 2/2 and then the next time you boost it becomes a 4/4 or just a 1/1 with +1/+1 two times. Thank you!

Use this formula:

P/T= 1x2^n

Where n is the number of times you activate the ability.

If you activate it once, then it'll make it a 2/2.

If you activate it 3 times, then it'll be an 8/8.

Yes, +X/+X means boosting Power and Toughness. If Electrostatic Pummeler only cared about it's base power it would say +1/+1 or +X/+X, where X is it's base power. Note it would only be a 4/4 until end of turn, when it returns to being a 1/1

Better yet, use this one:

P/T = X*2^n

Where X is the Power of Electrostatic Pummeler at the time of resolution, and "n" is the number of activations.

To clarify, X in Raging_Squiggle formula is the modified power before you start using Electrostatic Pummeler's self pump ability, if you cast something like Blossoming Defense or Larger Than Life before activating Electrostatic Pummeler to double it's size.
