Hello everyone,

Sorry to ask this probably stupid question, however.. If i block with a creature i own a creture with trample whose power is higher than my creature's toughtness, then i sack it to Yawgmoth, Thran Physician do i still take damage?

Yes. Trample allows the owner of the attacking creature to assign damage beyond lethal to the player or planeswalker the attacking creature is attacking. If, at the time damage is divided, the blocking creature is no longer there, the attacking player will assign all damage to the player or planeswalker the attacking creature is attacking.

There is no stage of priority between when the assignment of damage occurs and when the actual damage occurs, so there is no way to sacrifice the creature in response to the damage assignment.
