Descent of the Dragons and Battlefield Thaumaturge interaction

If i have a Battlefield Thaumaturge on the battlefield (obviously) then cast Descent of the Dragons targeting four of my creatures, does Descent of the Dragons CMC go down to because of Battlefield Thaumaturge? or am i just really dumb?

It absolutely works! Battlefield Thaumaturge was printed to synergize with some of the multi-target spells from Theros, such as Hour of Need or Glimpse the Sun God. Descent of the Dragons works the same way.
