Dark Sphere vs. Anger of the Gods

Does Dark Sphere prevent half of the Damage of Anger of the Gods for each creature?
Sure it could be seen as Field Effect but has a single source!

When an effect says "you", it doesn't mean "you and all your stuff", just "you, the player". Dark Sphere can't prevent damage that would be dealt to creatures you control.

Dark Sphere's current text reads "The next time a source of your choice would deal damage to you this turn, prevent half that damage, rounded down."
Note that it says you. It is speaking to its controller. It can only reduce the damage dealt to players. It won't prevent any of the damage dealt to creatures you control, so it doesn't help with Anger of the Gods.
