Daretti infinite mana rings

Asked by raphton 8 years ago

So I know about the Rings of Brighthearth + Basalt Monolith infinite mana combo. Now if I have infinite mana can I copy Daretti's plus ability and draw/dump all of my deck?

Because I can copy a planeswalker ability with Rings of Brighthearth right?

Unfortunately, no (to the infinite copies). You get to copy the ability once, but the copy does not trigger the Rings, since copying an activated ability is not the same as actually activating one.

Strionic Resonator can be used to copy the triggered ability of Rings of Brighthearth, then you can copy the Strionic Resonator with the rings, and you can untap the Strionic Resonator with Voltaic Key and use rings to copy the key's effect to untap the key. With infinie mana this allows you to infinitly copy any tiggered or activated ability.

So you will need the key, the rings, the resonator, the monolith, and any other triggered or activated ability. Which is alot in a mono red deck, but was fun to watch. 5 card infinite combo is not degenerate, but the fact that it can go into any EDH is nice.
