Creature until EOT and Equipments

If I have something like Chimeric Mass and equip Lightning Greaves onto it, does it pop off at the end of turn or does it stay equipped to the artifact, sense the equip ability says that it is unequipped if the creature leaves play and I was unsure if it counted as leaving play.

Nothing leaves play; Chimeric Mass remains on the battlefield. However, equipment can only be attached to creature permanents. When Chimeric Mass reverts to its noncreature state, Lightning Greaves will fall off.
