Countering Morph Creatures and Manifest Creatures

Asked by Bovine073 7 years ago

Is it possible to counter a creature you are putting down as a morph (mega or non-mega)?

Is it possible to counter it when you turn it face up? I know when you turn it face up it doesn;t use the stack (I think), so it probably can't be countered there, right?

Is it possible to counter a manifested creature? Say I play Soul Summons or another something like that. Perhaps countering a manifested creature from Reality Shift or Blessed Reincarnation?

When you cast a card face-down using morph, you're still casting it. You can counter a face-down spell just as you could any other spell.

Turning a card face up for its morph cost is a special action and doesn't use the stack. Therefore, you can't respond to it.

Similar to morph, turning a manifested face-down creature face up for its mana cost is a special action. It doesn't use the stack, and you can't respond to it.
