Commander myriad deal commander damage?

I wanted to have Zurgo Helmsmasher equip Blade of Selves and hit everybody with commander damage (and find out if the tokens would assign commander damage) only to find out the tokens and zurgo would perish due to the Legend Rule.
Then a friend showed me Mirror Gallery.
Celebration ensued.
But my initial question stands. Would the tokens assign commander damage?

Something to note, not All the tokens And Zurgo would 'perish' as you say. You choose one of them, and put the rest into your graveyard as a state based action.

The tokens would be copies of the creature that your commander is (in this case Zurgo Helmsmasher), but it would not count towards commander damage. The Commander and commander damage is linked to the card you choose as your commander (so you can make copies of your commander, but because they're not the same (physical) card they don't count as commanders)
