(COMMANDER 2018) Treasure nabber and Coveted Jewel

Asked by Trombatox 5 years ago

If there are say 3 players (A,B, and C). A has a Treasure Nabber and a Coveted Jewel. Who would control the jewel in this scenario:

B attacks A and gets Coveted Jewel. B taps Coveted Jewel on 2nd Main. A now gets jewel, thanks to Treasure Nabber. C attacks A.

Does A maintain control due to Nabber saying "until our next turn", or does C get it now, due to Jewel saying "gain control"?

P.S.- Sorry if it sounds like a word problem, I am a teacher.

One of the keys to make sure everyone understands what's going on in your question is to link the cards you're asking about. See the Comment Tutorial for a refresher on how to do it. Treasure Nabber, Coveted Jewel

C gets the Jewel. The new control-changing effect generated by Coveted Jewel's triggered ability overwrites the older one generated by Treasure Nabber's triggered ability (this is also why A was able to get the Jewel back from B in an earlier step of the example).

OK cool. I was not sure if I could link cards here like on deck lists. Thank you.
