Can tokens Meld?

So, if i make copies of two Meld cards, say Midnight Scavengers and Graf Rats, using Clone Legion, would they turn into Chittering Host? Or would they just be exiled?

701.34b Only two cards belonging to the same meld pair can be melded. Tokens, cards that arent meld cards, or meld cards that dont form a meld pair cant be melded.
