can there be 2 ob nixilis's out at once?

Can I have both Ob Nixilis, Unshackled and Ob Nixilis Reignited out at the same time since one is a legendary creature and the other is a planeswalker? or would one have to be destroyed in order for the other to be on the field?
You also could have Ob Nixilis, the Fallen and Ob Nixilis, Unshackled.

Note that the legend rule does not cause destruction (or sacrifice). Rather, the extra permanents are put into their owner's graveyard as a state-based action.
The same is true for the planeswalker uniqueness rule.

Yes you can control both. As you said, one is a Legendary Creature, the other is a Planeswalker. They do not interact in any way.
