Can Nephalia Smuggler and Snapcaster Mage work together?

If I have Nephalia Smuggler on the field and I cast Snapcaster Mage and I activated the Smuggler's ability to exile the Mage, would the Mage's ability trigger again when it returns to the field, or does it only trigger when the Mage is cast?

Snapcaster Mages ability reads When Snapcaster Mage enters the battlefield, ...
It is an Enters The Battlefield (ETB) effect, so Nephalia Smuggler flicking it would make the ability trigger again when Snaps returns.
