Can Master biomancer's +1/+1 counters cause a creature to evolve?

Asked by Monomanamaniac 6 years ago

Suppose I cast a Gyre Sage turn 2, then on turn 4 I cast Master Biomancer, then on turn 5 cast a Biovisionary? Obviously master biomancer is going too trigger the evolve effect, but that makes her a (2/3) which would mean that when I cast biovisionary (also a 2/3) there would be no trigger; however, with the 2 +1/+1 counters his stats would be (4/6), which would trigger it in that case. So can I stack those triggers so the resolve just like that?

Master Biomancer's ability isn't a triggered ability! Those begin with the words "When/Whenever/At". Biomancer modifies how a creature enters the battlefield.

Biovisionary gets the counters as he transitions from the stack (or from any other zone) to the battlefield. When he hits the field, he already has the counters and will trigger Gyre Sage's evolve ability.
