can I use Wretched Banquet even if my opponent has only one creature on the field?

Wretched Banquet says destroy target creature if it has the least power. And Also will it check my own creatures' power as well?

To answer the question in the title, yes. If Wretched Banquet targets the only creature on the battlefield, then that creature will be destroyed as Wretched Banquet resolves because it has the least power of any creature on the battlefield.
Wretched Banquet checks the power of all creatures on the battlefield.

Wretched Banquet will check the power of all creatures on the battlefield. Yours and your opponent's. If your opponent's targeted creature has the highest power, it will be destroyed.
However, if you target your opponent's creature, but you control a creature of greater power, Wretched Banquet will resolve and have no effect.
