Can I trigger Luminarch Ascension if I am at 1 with Angel's Grace?

I am at 1 life and I have Luminarch Ascension in play. It is my opponents turn and they attack. I cast Angel's Grace. Am I still losing life, or does luminarch get a counter?

Angel's Grace does not prevent damage, but rather changes the result of damage. What this means is you do take damage for the sake of things that care about damage, but you do not lose life, for things that care about losing life. In this case, that works out well for you, Luminarch Ascension will trigger at the beginning of the end step as long as you did not lose life, regardless of how much damage you took.
