Can I target the same Creature with two Vraska's Contempt?

Can I target a Creature with Vraska's Contempt then, while that is on the stack, target the same Creature with another Vraska's Contempt?

If I can, and they both resolve, I gather that I would only gain 2 life, as the Creature won't exist to be Exiled by the first Vraska's Contempt that was cast.

Yes, the play you described is legal. A note on communication though, if you intend to do that (for whatever reason), you should state as your casting the first one that you're holding priority. If you don't, it's assumed you're passing priority and you won't be able to cast the second. More likely, you'll be casting the second one because your opponent did something to respond to the first one though, so holding priority is unnecessary.

They won't both resolve. You're correct about only gaining 2 life, but the reason is that when the first cast Vraska's Contempt tries to resolve it notices it's only target is gone and is countered by the game rules. The life gain is not actually dependant on exiling the creature, if the target was still legal but somehow couldn't be exiled, you would still gain the life.
