Can I Tap Pristine Angel with Opposition?

The first line of text says 'tap an untapped creature you control' while the second line contains the words 'target creature'.

Thus, wouldn't the first line work like Clone and get around Pristine Angel 's prot blue?

Yes; the cost of Opposition doesn't target the creature tapped to pay it. You do need to control that creature, so you would need to be tapping your own Pristine Angel to pay the cost. The effect of the ability does target, so it can't target an opponent's untapped Pristine Angel, since the Angel will have protection from blue.
