Can I sacrifice one creature for two cards

I recently acquired an Abhorrent Overlord and as part of its ability, you must sacrifice a creature at the beginning of your upkeep. My question is, if I sacrifice a creature for something like Anowon, the Ruin Sage would that also pay for Abhorrent Overlord 's cost

You cannot do that.

The two triggers are separate, you will sacrifice for example first to the vampire (since they happen at the same time and you control both triggers, you decide how to stack them), then you have to satisfy the demon's appetite with another creature.

Similarly, you cannot tap a single Swamp to pay for BB in mana cost, or to use real life - you cannot 2 jawbreakers worth 25 cents with only a quarter in your pocket.

I didn't think that it could but I thought that I would ask just in case. I'm new to Magic and I still don't fully understand all of the rules. Thanks Boza
