Can I sacrifice a creature with Tymaret, the Murder King after my opponent declares blockers?

If I attack with a Child of Night , and my opponent blocks it with something that would kill it, can I still sacrifice it using Tymaret, the Murder King before his blocker kills Child of Night ?

You certainly can.

Once they declare blockers, there is a round of priority before you enter the combat damage step. During that time you're free to cast spells and activate abilities including that of Tymaret, the Murder King

Yes. After blockers are declared, each player will receive priority to cast spells/activate abilities before the end of the step and moving to the combat damage step.

Yes you may. The game not move on to the next step or phase of the turn until both players pass priority consecutively over an empty stack. While you have priority, you may active Tymaret, the Murder King using the Child of Night as the sacrificed creature.

Yes. Players have to pass priority in succession in order for the game to advance to the next step or phase. You'll have an opportunity to cast spells and activate abilities at the end of the declare blockers step before you move to the combat damage step.
