Can I respond to my own Shock with Worldfire

I wanted to build a silly casual deck with Worldfire as a finisher. My question is can I play Shock then stack a Worldfire on top of it so it resolves first and puts my opponent to 1 and then Shock kills them.

Worldfire is a sorcery, so you can't use it in response to anything.

You would need a way to cast Worldfire at "instant speed." Effects like Leyline of Anticipation or Vedalken Orrery would allow this.

You can always put a Rift Bolt on suspend before casting Worldfire and wait until your next turn.
