Can I drop Talara's Battalion using Collected Company

Can i choose Talara's Battalion as the target for Collected Company?
Although, Collected company counts as a green spell so really you could choose battalion even if it didn't work the way it does.

Note that Collected Company does not target because it does not use the word "target", and "cast" is when you play a spell from your hand and any effect that explicitly says "cast". Collected Company does not cast spells, it puts cards onto the battlefield. Bring to Light casts the spell you pick out, so cast triggers and restrictions apply, though since Bring to Light is itself a green spell it would satisfy Talara's Battalion's restriction.

i guess target was a bad choice of word. What i had in mind is that Collected Company does not cast the card and only puts it on the battlefield. Though now i am thinking that Battalion may not be the best creatures to include

Yes, Battalion mentions the word cast but Company doesn't care about that. cast is only when you play it from your hand normally.
