Can I double flashback?

Asked by kipahlord13 9 years ago

If I have in my hand a Past in Flames, and in my graveyard something already w/ flashback, ex Lingering Souls, can I flashback with the original one, then while the effect is on the stack, use the one from Past in Flames. If so, when the first flashback exiles the spell, will the second one still stay on the stack and resolve? To put it simply, will I get 2 or 4 Spirits Tokens? This is assuming that I have enough mana in my pool.

It's cast just like regular, having flashback twice doesn't mean there's two cards. Once you cast it once (from the gy) it goes to exile. I...think...that got the point across. Short answer is no, but does that makes sense why?

The first thing you do to cast a spell is to move it from the zone it is in to the stack. Once you have cast a flashback spell it is on the stack and is no longer in the graveyard. This means that you could only use one of the 2 flashback choices since flashback only allows casting from the graveyard, and not any other zone.
