First, spells aren't activated. You cast Hallowed Moonlight; you don't activate it. Only activated abilities are activated.

The situation doesn't work out in your favor. When a player resolves Gideon, Ally of Zendikar's +1 ability, Gideon, Ally of Zendikar just gains new characteristics. It doesn't leave or enter the battlefield.

Like Epochalyptik said, Gideon, Ally of Zendikar's ability (or any Gideon's creature-ifying ability) doesn't cause it to enter the battlefield, only change how it works temporarily. On a related note, Gideon only enters the battlefield as a planeswalker, not a creature. Let's say (moving out of Standard) you use Mistmeadow Witch's ability on a creature-ified Gideon. When it returns to the battlefield, it "forgets" it was a creature, enters with its base loyalty, and is in all respects a newly played card. Since it enters as a planeswalker, not a creature, Hallowed Moonlight doesn't interact with it.
