Can Deathrender summon a creature drawn by Dark Prophecy?

Asked by Psychonautical 9 years ago

Say I have a Fume Spitter and I equip Deathrender to it while Dark Prophecy is active. Upon sacrificing it, can I put a creature into play that I drawn from the death trigger, or can I only put the artifact on a creature that I already had in my hand at the time I sacrificed Fume Spitter ?

SInce those two triggered abilities are put on the stack by the same event and both affect you, you get to choose the order in which they resolve. In order to get the desired result, you can stack the Prophecy trigger on top of the Deathrender one; that way, the Dark Prophecy one resolves first and you will draw before resolving the Deathrender trigger.

You get to choose the order that the triggers go on the stack, since both would trigger simultaneously. Put the Deathrender trigger on the stack first so that Dark Prophecy resolves first. Now you have one more card to choose from for Deathrender's ability.
