Guess it depends on whether Battle Brawler's ability activates in the graveyard or not... (NB Alesha is a red permanent)

Unless an ability could only work in a specific zone, or specifies it works in a certain zone, all abilities function only on the battlefield. Battle Brawler's ability will not boost him in the graveyard, and can be returned with Alesha.
