Bouncing Commanders
Asked by Lordslyver66 9 years ago
Can I return my Commander to the Command Zone if an ability puts it on the bottom of my library?
No. You may only put your Commander in the command zone as a replacement effect when it dies or is exiled.
The only exception is if you are playing under French 1-on-1 rules, which will allow you to send your Commander to the command zone if it is bounced/tucked.

No. Commanders can be moved to the command zone if they would die or be exiled, but not if they are moved to any other zone, including the hand and the library.

Nope. Only if it would be exiled or go to the graveyard.
903.11. If a commander would be put into its owner's graveyard from anywhere, that player may put it into the command zone instead.
903.12. If a commander would be put into the exile zone from anywhere, its owner may put it into the command zone instead.
