Are copies spells? (Ink-Treader Nephilim)

So if a have Nivmagus Elemental and a cast Giant Growth on my Ink-Treader Nephilim could I exile the copies that Ink-Treader Nephilim creates?

Yes, the elemental can eat the spell copies.

The difference between spells and copies of spells is that copies are not cast so things like Pyromancer Ascension will not care for copies. Copies are put directly on the stack and will resolve before the original card.
