Altar of the Brood and land drops
Asked by Quadsimotto 9 years ago
After having RTDC i think i may be correct about the Altar of the Brood causing mill even during land drops but i want to clarify. Mostly because it does not state "non land permanent" So i guess the question i should be asking is. Is land considered to be a permanent?

A permanent is any object that remains on the battlefield for any length of time.

thank you for the clarification epoch. I was certain that it was. Due to having read the aforementioned phrase of "non land permanent", but just wanted to be sure.

From the comprehensive rulebook
110.4. There are five permanent types: artifact, creature, enchantment, land, and planeswalker. Instant and sorcery cards can't enter the battlefield and thus can't be permanents. Some tribal cards can enter the battlefield and some can't, depending on their other card types. See section 3, "Card Types."
so yeah, lands are permanents
