Adventure properties

Asked by Omniscience_is_life 3 years ago

What property of a card with the Adventure mechanic allows for it to be cast from exile? The similar ability Suspend distinguished by means of Time Counters, but Adventure seems to have no such clause. So can I then (and I seriously doubt this, but don't understand why not) cast a Merchant of the Vale that's been Swords to Plowshares'd? Thanks!

Post Scriptum: I may have accidentally made another one of these question-forums, since T/O crashed the first time and I'm not sure if it went through. :/

To be able to cast an Adventure card from exile, it must have been exiled instead of being put into the graveyard when resolving because it was cast as an Adventure.

715.3d Instead of putting a spell that was cast as an Adventure into its owner’s graveyard as it resolves, its controller exiles it. For as long as that card remains exiled, that player may cast it. It can’t be cast as an Adventure this way, although other effects that allow a player to cast it may allow a player to cast it as an Adventure.
