2 Sedge Sliver stacking

I was playing and cast 2 Sedge Sliver and my opponent said my slivers don't get +2/+2 for controlling a swamp because the are the same ability and that they only get +1/+1

That is incorrect. Two instances of this ability are not redundant; each will give +1/+1.

They do get +2 +2. Here is a forum discussing the same thing.
