I lost points on my tapped out account, how does this happen and why? It rose my rank by 12 points. Not cool.

You lost rank. Everyone lost rank. But in the fact that everyone lost rank no one did. You basically were put back to the place you were a week ago. Those that weren't as active didn't lost that much rank. Those that were did. I lost 7k points and went from around 35ish to 69. It'll go back up for me.

But for real, on the down low... Ohthenoises you should buy as many copies of Stratus Dancer as you can. That card will be gas. Same applies to Radiant Purge. Removal always goes up.
Trust me on this... I specked the shit out of Hero's Downfall and made like 250 bucks off of them when I traded/sold playsets.

To get points, you can post comments, fix cards, deckcycle and suggest cards on people's decks.
You can also meet a guy named Paco who lives behind your local walmart. Ring the doorbell three times, present a severed goat head, two crack rocks and a semen sample. He will then give you a bag of points.
I just got some right now. Lol.

I failed on the last Gideon hype train. That was an important lesson. But I made up for it by getting a ton of copies of that GTC Minotaur for 3 bones right before pro tour, when he shot to 20 thanks to that aristocrats deck

Btw anyone who said how to get points they missed an important part part of the algorithm that determines points is based off of the number of goats you sacrifice

Yeah I don't ever pay attention to points, and I only pay attention to rank when I see a topic where someone's asking "who's rank N?" The only reason I knew about moving down from rank 3 to 4 sometime last year was because I happened to notice ChiefBell posting a forum topic about moving up.

Well, that's odd. Well, my deckcycles didn't refresh either and I'm 98% sure I had that much points yesterday. But yeah, not the end of the world :)

It's happening to everyone, most likely a by-product of most of the records of our activities from a week time period disappearing when yeago made updates to the site to make it run faster due to the spoiler season bringing in heavy traction and bogging the site down.
