Weird thing, hard to explain.

Yesterday I noticed that when I was updating a deck things were not as they should be. Whenever I used the "+" and "-" button to change the quantities of a card from the deck page a dialog box would pop up and say that the change had some kind of error. It would visibly remove or change counts on the deck list but then when going in to actually make an official "Edit" the quantity changes were not only reversed, but each card that was changed was duplicated.

For example, in one deck I changed the quantity of Mountain from 21 to 20 with the quick edit or whatever you want to call it (the green and red + and - buttons found on the deck main page). I then went to the actual Edit button to add in a card that wasn't previously in the deck and noticed that my card count jumped from 60 to 80 because I had 21x Mountain and 20x Mountain both on the list.

Odd. Whatever. Fixed it, moving on.

Then I noticed it happen again on another deck. And again. In fact, it's quite repeatable. I use those tweak buttons a lot when playtesting a deck because it is simply faster than going through the edit page and changing the quantity and then saving.

Not sure what changed to break this tool, but I just wanted to point it out in case anyone that knows what I'm talking about and permission to do so can do anything to patch the site.

Thanks.

I've seen this occasionally too. Seems like an error that might occur during high server load. In either event it's not a big deal and can be worked around by just going to the deck editor

I'm having a similar issue, when you go to remove a card and reload the page, it comes back as 2 different copies. Cant figure out whats making it do this.

I considered the server traffic angle but I've also experienced this throughout the day across a few days now and it's an easily replicate-able issue. I don't think it's quite that simple, though the work around that I discussed is viable it's still worth looking at.

The only other time I've run into this or anything similar the page usually "deploys thopters" to indicate maintenance and you just have to be patient and try again later. I feel this is something else.

Yeah, still going on. Looking less and less like just a server issue.

Happening to me as well. Every deck I edit using the plus/minus quick edit causes it. You won't notice it's having the issue until after a page refresh or after you enter a different area of the site and check back. Example I took 2 cards out using the minus tool and lowered my forests down to 10. After page refresh to update stats and graphs it had duplicated the 2 cards I had removed instead of removing them and I now had 11 forests and 10 forests on 2 separate lines.

Ok now things have escalated a little.

When building a new deck and choosing to add a quantity of any number and choosing to "Add Card to Board" it adds exactly one of those cards instead of whatever the number actually was.

Every single card, every single deck (including brand new ones).

And there we have it, both problems solved :)

Nice work, I'll keep my eye out for anything else but for now it seems that all of the tools are behaving the way they ought to behave.

Thanks ;)
