Updates not "sticking"

TappedOut forum

Posted on Nov. 20, 2015, 3:40 p.m. by yeaGO

Many users have reported that when they edit their deck their changes sometimes don't seem to take or they get an old version.

Please report your problem here including:

1) Are you using AdBlock? Did the problem go away when you whitelist or disable it (even temporarily) for TappedOut?

2) Browser?

3) OS?

4) Does the problem happen when you try another browser?

They only thing I have, and this is most likely due to connection issues either on my end or to the server, is that the +/- buttons won't always respond, and when I refresh the page to see the changes, I get error logs pop-up saying "There was a problem with that action" in numbers equal to the number of clicks I made to the +/- buttons that didn't go through properly.

EDIT: On chrome. Will post more information about adblock when the issue arises again.

Occasionally I have a temporary issue with updates sticking but I haven't identified the cause yet (possibly an add-on called Ghostery but I haven't verified this 100% yet). Browser is Chrome, OS is Windows.

I had a lot of issues with updates sticking, at one point, but disabling Adblock for TappedOut drastically reduced the occurrence. It almost never happens now, and TappedOut runs normally.

I use AdBlock and I've had my updates not "stick" a few times recently, but it was just delayed; after I waited a bit, the updates appeared.

I'm consistently having problems with deck updates now as well. Like another user said, this only started 2-3 weeks ago, though I've been using the same extensions for a while now.

1) Am using AdBlock Plus and Ghostery. Whitelisted the domain in ABP.

2) Google Chrome 46.0.2490.86 (Official Build)

3) W7

4) Just tried Firefox 42.0 with the same plugins (ABP whitelisted) and it seems to be working as expected.

Hope that helps!

There has to be a reason why the website isn't working with chrome. Firefox always crashes whenever I use it. I got rid of it and never looked back

I wanted to let all my fellow chrome users know, to reinstall chrome. IT might be a compatibility issue, but tappedout is working now. Hopefully fem and the other creators fixed the issue, or doing that fixes it and Im not jinxing the site.

Only one creator, and that is yeago. I'm not even an admin, just a regular user.

I'm having the same issue. Weirdly, even when I edit the deck list in the "deck editor" section (manually typing in new cards/removing old ones) it works after I press save. But if I press "regen charts" any time after it will revert back to the previous deck list (before typed changes).

No addblock

OSX

Safari.

Thanks :)

Also, when going to "edit board" previous changes are there and correct, after saving it presents the correct deck list. But again after pressing "regen charts" it just reverts back to its original list. Strange

I think that is a separate bug there Basuldur.
