Suggestion: Binder/Inventory Integration

Apologies if this has been brought up before, or is already on "the list."

I've been trading a lot more on the site, and have been keeping better track of my collection now that it's growing and actually worth something. I love how this site has both the Trade Binder and Inventory, but the lack of integration between the two makes the Inventory seem rather impractical (given that the Trade Binder is much more important to keep up to date). To me, my T/O Trade Binder is where I post the contents of my physical, IRL trade binder while the Inventory is where I keep track of both my Trade Binder and cards that are currently in other decks (and my unlisted cards... if I had cards worth not listing...). While Trading is not the focus on this site, I would like to brainstorm a few ideas for future updates:

  1. Integrating the Trade Binder and Inventory. My thought is to tie the two together so that any change made to a user's Trade Binder is also reflected in their Inventory. Any change made in the Inventory stays specific to the Inventory. However this can lead to confusion as to whether or not a card is in your Binder, so we could use a legend that indicates, in the Inventory, which cards are in the Binder. That way, a change in either is reflected in the other, except that a card added to the Inventory is *only* in the inventory. A card quantity changed in the Inventory that is already in the binder will be updated in the binder as well. This is very wordy, but I hope I got my main idea across.
  2. My next suggestion is a minor one: a "quick add" feature to the Trade Binder. Off to the side or above the "haves" section there could be a box like the one used to select a general in a deck search. This would allow you to quickly add a card or two to your binder and pending my above suggestion, determine which list it would be in.
  3. This last suggestion just popped into my head while writing this, but I figured I'd throw it out there: Synchronizing Trades with your Binder. Once you lock in a trade, the system would automatically update your Inventory and "wants" section of your Binder. Maybe give the option of where to add the cards (Binder or Inventory)?

Don't get me wrong- I love the trading/record keeping ability T/O provides, but I think it could be even better. This may not be the most obvious, simplistic, or realistic approach, but there's room for additions. Thoughts?

I think these are good ideas. Although I don't trade, I do like my things to be organized. I think the main problem here is that these aren't too essential and can easily be overcome with a little more human effort. More of a "win-more" type of implement, at least in my eyes

Yeah that's along my thoughts as well. The Inventory is a feature that I'd really like to take advantage of, but it lacks the utility I want. But you're right. It's not a necessary site add/fix/addition, it'd be a bonus.
